Job Description

This major international law firm has created an exciting opportunity for a Knowledge Management professional to join their Knowledge Management team and work closely with other team members on handling fee-earner knowledge management, research and information management requests. Your contributions in this team will also have a direct impact on fee-earners ability to work as efficiently and effectively as possible. 


Main responsibilities: 

  • Act as a primary point of contact for enquiries, as well as information and research requests and replying on a timely and cost effective basis
  • Promote a firm-wide knowledge sharing culture and act as an ambassador for the KM team
  • Assist with preparing customised newsletters on legal and regulatory news, and finding innovative ways to ensure staff are kept up to date with the latest legal and business developments, as well as industry trends
  • Work with other team mates on testing, updating and maintaining the knowledge database, and to ensure high service standards    
  • Train the firm's lawyers on research skills and deliver knowledge about the information and knowledge system
  • Process and distribute information and materials to users efficiently and promptly
  • Attend meetings and contribute ideas improving knowledge sharing processes
  • Assist the senior team members on legal research
  • Work across teams, located both in Hong Kong and overseas, to ensure that information is shared efficiently and effectively
  • Assist in ad hoc projects



  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree or equivalent 
  • Qualified or experience KM/library services professional with a minimum 2 years’ research and information management experience in legal or professional services 
  • Adept at working with common types of legal and business resources and materials, both online and offline, ideally with some familiarity with using English and Australian legal research resources
  • Excellent skills on MS office applications 
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, and particularly adept at applying plain English  
  • Good Mandarin competency preferred 
  • Great team player, willing-to-help attitude, and fast and accurate response rate
  • Dedication to impeccable client service and professional development
