Our client, a top tier international law firm with offices across the Asia region is currently hiring a well-rounded Accountant for their Hong Kong office to provide general accounting support for their Asia operations, and to ensure a 'tight' financial system, and providing support on pricing negotiations and revenue forecasting. 

 

Job duties: 

  • Generate and review team and individual fee earner WIP and collections reports, work closely with the working capital team to ensure as smooth a process for revenue collection
  • Monthly review of unbilled disbursements
  • Managing debt collection actions with support from centralised debt collection team, and following up with both clients and Partners
  • Liaise with partners daily on practice revenue, profitability and anticipated unrecoverable revenue, coordinate write-off requests 
  • Identify and investigate abnormal transactions and significant money moves
  • Prepare AR and WIP reports in accordance with IFRS15 Revenue Recognition, as well as aged debt reports
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly financial analyses
  • Prepare cash flow forecast reports
  • Support statutory and internal audits on revenue related accounts
  • Set up weekly billing and collection targets
  • Assist and discuss with Partners on workflow design and pricing negotiations 
  • Assisting in ad-hoc financial projects, proactive follow-up of all tasks 

 

Requirement:

 

  • Qualified CPA with at least 5 years' working experience with Law Firms/ professional firms
  • Experience / knowledge of billing, credit control, debt collection, and pricing analyses will be beneficial
  • Excellent communication ability in both Chinese and English
  • Good team player, the ability to be flexible and working calmly in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Candidates with major law firm exposure will be considered first
