Job Description
Our client, a professional services firm, is looking for a senior regional employment counsel to join their dynamic legal team based in Shanghai (China). An ideal candidate enjoys working in a challenging and dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Advise internal stakeholders on the full spectrum of employment related issues, including various legal contracts, compliance, data privacy, intellectual property, compensation and other employment-related issues
- Assist on various initiatives, such as office openings, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and joint ventures
- Support HR activities which includes advising members of the firm regarding firm policies and procedures, conducting internal investigations and evaluation processes
- Manage regulatory inquiries, such as pay equity audits and compliance
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify risks and develop solutions for the firm
Requirements:
- PRC qualified with a minimum 7+ years' PQE at top international law firm(s) and/or multinational corporation(s)
- Excellent academic credentials with in-house and employment law experience
- A highly collaborative and influential team player with impeccable business ethics
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential (both written and spoken)
