A leading offshore law firm has an opening for a junior qualified transactional lawyer to join their award winning corporate team. This is a rare opportunity for a talented lawyer looking to gain broader exposure with exceptional quality and mega-sized deals in IPOs, M&A, general corporate, AND general banking and finance deals, in equal measure!
To qualify, candidates should be qualified in England & Wales with 2-3 years post qualified experience. Alternatively, our client would consider other common law qualified lawyers, or Hong Kong qualified lawyers who are in the process of, or seriously considering, re-qualifying in a common law jurisdiction (ideally England & Wales). Moreover, candidates who are dual qualified in the PRC and a common law or US would be considered. In all cases, strong academics (minimum class 2:1) from a highly reputable higher education establishment is required.
The requirements for multiple language standards is high, with native or near-native standard English and a high fluency in Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken). Candidates with at least near native standard level of Mandarin will be a distinct advantage. Candidates should be willing to play an active part in business development initiatives and be willing to travel (not frequent, but the trips will last 2-4 days at a time).
